Instructional Designer (casual)



Colin has been in the field of education for over twenty years and has worked as a secondary instructor as well as an instructional designer and e-learning producer. He has had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients producing asynchronous e-learning courses, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), job aids, micro-learning courses, instructional materials, and curriculum development. He is a Google Certified Educator and an Adobe Educator, as well as ACA certified in all Adobe Creative Cloud programs. He loves spending time outdoors camping and biking with his family and he is an avid fisherman who enjoys every type of fishing, whether it is on the fly or on the ice.


Colin has worked with Alberta Health Services, Olds College, Contact North, the City of Kelowna, BC Hydro and Global Affairs Canada as an instructional designer building e-learning courses and other online instructional resources. He also has teaching experience in several schools in Aspen View, Rocky View and Pembina Hills, specializing in the areas of Media Arts, as well as serving as a Lead Teacher and Program Coordinator in two different high schools during that time.
